SNAPSHOTS FROM THE CPR TRIP

Flowers, from Denise's garden at Werris Creek,
for my flower photograph collection.

Shots from Denise's garden

Firstly, sorry Taylor for the not so flattering shot, but that man in the middle was my pretending first born, my best friend son, Jesse. Typically with teenagers...eating! LOL I cannot believe I changed your nappy (LOL glad I'm 8 hours away ...I'm not a very good runner!) where does the time go! Last, but not least is jesse's mate the lovely Chris. Still abit worried as my 8 year old wants to know "what hair styling product makes chris's spikes"
because he wants chris's "hairdo"!

Now, to get down on the farm.
Marnies farm, Tamworth...
Boys swingin on Marnies farm gate

How positively cute is this gal,
Grace is Marnies lovely 12 year daughter
Our Daniel, whist trying to look cool, may have made a bit of an impression ? Ya think?

JUST A QUCKIE RE: COUNTRY PAPERART RETREAT

These are my recent travel ATC's the red vintage car ones were prototypes for the 20 odd I did at the CPR weekend. They were title a little stop on my art journey which I thought was rather poignant. I also did some with alcohol ink backgrounds that looked pretty cosmic and far out!!!

OMG! WOW! What a great space, place and people! COUNTRY PAPERARTS RETREAT at lake keepit just near Tamworth. (I will give in depth details later because I'm still recovering! LOL) but suficed to say Deb Godley did a spectacular job pulling this camp together! the best I've ever been to! It was terrific putting faces to online buddies I'd never met in person, waving madly to Marnie and Sherrie!!!! (thanks for all you mothering, understanding and leading astray:) )

Sherrie managed to avoid getting her mug in here so this is Marnie and I
and a an amazing artist/scrapbooker/and allround "wonder of nature" Pauline.
There isnt a art crafty persuit she cant be admired for perfecting I'm told. I hope to meet up with her again some time, she has so much knollege
I barely tapped into! LOL

Everyone was so friendly. But to those who know me it'll come as no surprise to hear the high light of the weekend was meeting two awesomely amazing ladies, Jill Geraghty Groves (L) and Ngaire Bartlam (R).

Jilly was just as I imagined a genuinely gorgeous gal, who I hit it off with instantly. Shes been a great support to me (for which I can never thank her enough) via email and I hope to stay in contact with her forever. she's got such a big heart and just exudes inspiration. (lol that didnt sound as pretty as I would have liked but you know what I mean ...oh and I hope some rubbed off in whilst taking this photo!!!)

Her class OTP class was brilliant with an emphasis on enjoyment and being creative
(sorry about shocking you jill with the "measuring Marcy", old habits die hard! LOL)

Ngaire was also just as lovely as I imagined and her otp class was crackingly creative, full of flourish, colour and creativity at a pace I've never gone before.... and little ol I managed to pretty much keep up...surprisingly shocking myself! Her kit was chock full of extras and freebies and I love that she gave me an spectacular encouragement award a package from Tarisoda OMG OMG OMG! Beautiful!

THE TALENT OF THESE LADIES DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!
Everyone aggreed their classes were fabulous
and they were both so generous with their time
and their humour (which I loved!) LOL

Time constraints sent us home with homework so neither project has photo's so I will post them when they are both finished master pieces...hopefully before next years camp!

Jill and Ngaire both mentioned they'd like to teach next year so

I think I'll have to make it an annual pilgrimage!

The weekend also gave me a chance to catch up with some of my dearest friends, Denise, Greg and Jesse Mason. As always they had me covered while I left DH at their house
with the kidlets while I went off to get scrappy. Thankfully they were still my friends
when I returned and apart from Jarred eating them out of house and
home there were no major breakages to speak of! LOL
I think the best thing I got out of this week end is a sence of gratidude for good friends.
I wouldnt have been there was it not for the generousity of my friend Shantell, I wouldnt have been at the camp if it wasnt for the encouragement of our good friends the Masons helping out with the kids and I probably wouldnt have dared to venture out at all if not for the lure to learn from and be around some really insiration women.
Be they new, old, the kind you only see in type or the ones that will be there for life,
are an essential joy one must have in ones life!
(oh so true but maybe too deep for this blog... so insert belching noise here!)

Anywho....

stay tuned for more installments from my adventures....

TODAYS MARCY MOMENT OF MADNESS...

Of course what do you do when your office
looks like this....

spend half the morning on the phone chatting to anyone who'll enable your procrastination ... :) hello darling Marnie!, checkout all your favorite blogs... hello Jilly!
and the spend the rest of the afternoon

turning this....

Into this.......

and then wonder why the office still locks like picture number one! LOL

That and although this got me back draw space, I don't know whether it just added to the overall cluttered look of my scrapspace! The little dimondy shaped thingo I found last week at Howards storage world for $16. Bit xxxy but perfect for the job, after I took a hacksaw to it! LOL Whether it holds up under pressure we'll see.

Now I just have to go back and get one for each of us for socks and jocks! Priorities right! LOL

I think finding this ....

at the newsagents this morning was what got me a wee bit over excited

( I even showed my page to the butchers while I got the snags for tea! LOL)

and lead to my inability to concentrate.....

I was absolutely stoked to see the print quality of my layout! I absolutely love this mag, it has been so good to me, and this issue is the best I've seen for a while. I did have to laugh though about the title ...what the? The layout was called "creating myself" based on me hiding in the photo and the delish rub on that reads "life isn't about finding yourself...its about creating yourself" but I had a similarly named file so I just took a copy of the file "self life" to send to them when I had to resend it...hence the printed title "copy of self life". How funny is that! Oh well It is lovely they paid such close attention to detail. Stay tuned for my next appearance in issue 73 a couple of pages! a "how to" on one of my most love invested projects!!! I'm bustin to share that with you but you know how it goes ...you'll have to buy the mag! LOL

Lastly, I have been dying to share these photo's I took yesterday. They are of my darling Jarred DS#3 He looked so handsome and was so keen on the "mow hawk" but the instant I got the camera out the performance started...if this boys not in theatre when he grows up I 'll be very surprised! LOL

He's so grown up and spunky!!!

That better be it for the day, cause something tells me....

I have some cleaning up to do. LOL

Oh by the way this is a new record for mess just so you don't think this what I always work in...its usually similar but I can assure you not this bad!

(SIGH! where is the maid when you need one!)

oh one more thing....

I really wanted to thank all those people who emailed and or left lovely messages for Daniel on the blog (Uncle Jeff I'm sending you the link again hint hint! LOL) His teacher and I scammed it so she opened my blog on the interactive white board at school. He was shocked & surprised I even got spontaneous cuddles that afternoon so I think a bit touched as well by the fuss! Thankyou all!

I'M HAVING A BABY....

HA HA Just kidding!....I was having a baby...this time twelve years ago!!!

( and I thought this may raise a few responses! LOL)

That's right my eldest baby turns twelve today.

I think I'm fine with that, its him going to high school next year that freaks me out! LOL (and dates me!) He's soooo excited this year about his birthday! He got some really useful things....DS GAMES! A star wars one and what he desperately had to have ..."Spore creatures". I figured his report card for school was so great how could I not give him a treat! We are soooo very proud of him for the year he's had in the opportunity class at Sturt Primary ( an enhancement program run by the education dept for gifted and talented students) As well as a that he sat his exams for placement in the high school equivillant program and suceeded in getting placement at Kooringal High for next year.... ( In ya face nasty kindy teacher who said at my first parent teacher interview that he'd be the class clown and never amount for anything...I'm not joking thats what she said! HA not doing to badly I think!)
I just love him to bits he's such a bright and clever kid.
I just hope I'm parent enough for him.
I'm still waiting for the manual!

Daniel biggest fans getting in on the act!!!

We had a little birthday tea last night (cheap Tuesday pizza! LOL) and the boys and I created some very pre adolescent cupcakes!!!! LOL Based I think partially on this game they all play plants vs zombies or something like that! I know after the playdoh entry I risk shedding my children in a very bad light but I have to show you they had so much fun (and made soooo much mess) making them. and they are really very lovely sweet children ...no REALLY!

Thank godness my on again off again dishwasher decided to work last night cause the washing up was nearly as hideous as the cupcakes! Look! Uncle Jeff & Aunty Suzie! look what I let my big boy get away with ...this from a woman who let him play with dolls!!! (Whoops sorry Daniel , Action man and Heman arent dolls are they!!!? LOL)

Here's a quick blast from the past....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL!

WE ALL LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!
