For Jarred my youngest in these pictures its all about the FOOD...fullstop! He eat and eats and asks for some thing to eat 20mins after breakfast!!!! LOL but I am being kinda sarcastic and rolling my eyes in a good natured way. As his food obsession is all abit much sometimes. ( dont worry theres a ying to the yang Connor is often hard to get food in as it may be unhealthy ..."how many grams of fat mum" trust me didnt get that from me! LOL) Oppps I digress....

CARD SAMPLE 1

This card challenge is too make a humorous birthday card, using at least one stamp.

PRODUCTS USED: Bazzill A7 blank Cards & envelopes. Bazzill, Basic Grey- Nook & Pantry PP, Bazzill, Basic Grey- Nook & Pantry cupcake stamp, Smooch Spritz Vanilla, Memories ink and Making Memories organza ribbon.

I surprized myself using nook and pantry and it being soooo versitile I hadnt given Nook & Pantry a second look as I thought, it wasnt really me. Mind you this 2nd card looks alot more like me, maybe a little too bollywood but it could have been a knee jerk reaction to all the "neat" work I did for the challenges! LOL

Oh DEAR! + a couple new layouts...

Oh dear three boys crowded into an office and one camera found...on the floor...and no one knows what happened but I think it means certain death to my Fuji! I turn it on and it says "lens error" and makes a terrible crunching noise as the  lens goes out. Poor Fuji its been such a great camera, I have heard the reason they are so cheap to buy ( mine was $600!) is because if anything goes wrong with them they are expensive to fix! So now I have a christening to go to tomorrow a Nikon D40 thats flash is broken and a Fuji that only focuses some of the time!!!GGGGGRRRRR! So heres only a couple of my most recent layouts. The pic's were so bad I am going to get DH to scan the rest on Monday!

This layout tells the story of my bring home 17 bags of oddment buttons from work when I used to work at spotlight. The boys went nuts! There was more ooh and ahhing than christmas morning! They spent hours sorting them in the colours sizes etc. Squealing with delight when they found "treasure" eg bejewed or gold buttons. Then when the were sorted the go busy I didnt question what they were doing I thought they were just string buttons onto hat elastic. They were making mini knight complete with toggle helmets and big button sheilds....to this day I am still so proud of their imaginations!!!

terrible photo I am sorry.

I was challenged to do a christmas layout featuring...myself! LOL I had two cuter photo's but they need some repair I had a go with photo editor but I think they need to go to an image DR! I used this layout for my demo at spotlight this weeks, it was great to catch up with most of the old crowd, and I think there was alot more people in the store too. Hope they book me next time I love getting paid for having fun. Oh I took a couple layouts for people to look at too. It was a little bit embaressing and a lil funny when someone tried to buy my button layout for 25 cents!!! TRUE I JEST YOU NOT!!!

This is the job the Fuji does now...yuck! Oh I am lost without my precious camera! (sob!)

Heres a couple photo's I played with....

BEFORE

AFTER
1976 - The second I discovered Santa left me a CUBBY HOUSE... The fact it was insulated had a real roof, gyprocked walls and real windows had nothing to do with the figure standing behind me in his carpenter pants ...my Pop the builder! Santa's little helper LOL

Playing cups of tea with a can of Fanta christmas morn. Mum said since she and Dad had a hard time drink the Fanta at 7am in the morning! LOL

well that'll be enough waffle for one night catch you on the flip side.... :)

oh I forgot to share HALLOWEEN.....

The boys didnt get birthday parties this year so when I was scrapping my american niece Olivia in halloween garb...well I caved to pester power! I even got with the program and donned an outfit, and baked pumpkin scones and blood icing cupcakes!!! Sadly, only a couple people really played along. as Aussies especially country folk dont do Halloween. I told the boys to invite a friend...I think they heard invite ten....

 Daniel as a Zombie

Connor as the grim reaper      Jarred, the skeleton and his friend Jacob the friendly ghost!

Three or four kids  weren't  in the photo so you can image how daunting we were as we rocked up to unexpecting people doorsteps!!! LOL

SCAREY EH?

The month of October was NATIONAL BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH so I got thinking pink encouraged by a challenge set at 3AS. IT was tough for me pink is not really my thing and monochromatic pink even more so but I was happy with what I came up with....

TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL OR THREE!!!

Been either a bit busy or just plan feeling ordinary, had a few issues in the last month so havent been me stirring self ! LOL I have no idea where to start to update you all....hmmm How bout I show you what I've been up to and then go from there...
As I havent done a technique Tuesday for a while I'll include a couple of techniquie pic's as well (yes I know thats not a real word! LOL)
I've been playing dollies....

Introducing Angelica, Angelina and Angie my three scrapping angels
created with mannequin dolls used for sketching.
( I had to name them so I could label photo's! LOL)

Products used: Basic Grey Bittersweet PP, Basic grey dollies, Making Memories PP, Kaiser gems, German scrap wings, Jones foils, Glimmer mist, clay, paint & twinking H2o watercolours, synthetic dolls hair and wool, fabric, lace and ribbon.

I've never made anything like this before I played with the idea at the Tamworth retreat but really needed a less "social" setting to plot them out. LOL! I created attempting to impress the gals at 3AS, where I've been hanging out and managed to score a guest DT spot for early next year. Checkout the link to the right here. I am really excited but more about that later!

I am so pleased with how these angels turned out.  I really enjoyed nutting it all out, the combination of synthetic hair that I got from Spotlight and my hot glue gun had me terrified but I devised a way of wrapping the hair around a board and running a line of glue on one edge and cutting the other creating individual hair pieces. I love how it turned out especially Angelina, whos hair was originally the same as the blonde angel, Angelica but before attaching it I straightened out the curls and I dyed it with pink Tim Holtz alchol ink and it worked a treat I think! Angie is my fav' because shes a little bit grungie, a bit hippie? Her hair I LOVE and you'll never guess it was a $1 ball of moda vera wool from spotlight! LOL Enough yappin' I am happy to answer any questions if anyone wants to post them here! :)

On upon a time there was one mad scrappychick (moi) who had it in mind to create a fairy from a wooden jointed sketch mannequin ...one fairy became... before you knew it ...three guardian angels!!! LOL

I used a push mold and air dry clay to create the angel faces and then when dry painted the faces on. I gave all the girlies a flesh colour paint job and began to glue on the hair. This is a faceless Angelica who also had a hair cut after her hair was all attached. ( Hee HEE HEEE that was really fun took me back to my childhood days of attacking Barbie dolls with sissors! BAHAHAHA!!!Lorraine Mc Nuffis probably still working her way through the trouble we got into when we played "PUNK"  hair dressers with every barbie she and her sister owned! LOL)

We did have some scarey bad hair moments! RAOTFL

OMG naked angels!!!
I played with which doll should where what, made a set of clay wings but they were a bit clunky. I had a vague idea and as you can see I played around with the patterns.

Sorry about the pic but this was me creating the wings by Xyroning the paper wings the adhering them to acetate/transparency. I laided each sheet of tranparency over the original wings to get them all the same. I was a little wary of using the hot glue gun to attach the wings but
I had a low temp one so I got away with it! :)

I loved making them, even though a couple people (DH) have given me a couple funny looks
and went "ah yep pretty, but I dont get it" to which I replied I dont get why you'd want
to climb a big scary mountain either but mount climbers do it
and I look on from afar with admiration...  husband darling!" LOL
Well, I hope you enjoyed look at them!!!
