BEWARE THE MAN EATING DOG!!!!

After I stopped laughing I realised ... there's a layout here and ran and got the camera! This dog is a goat it eats EVERYTHING! Any thing in the back yard is fair game....The grass, the Irrigation systems, trailer plugs, spark plug covers off lawn mowers, push bike seats and pedals, the legs of the timber bar stools, I used to put my washing basket on before it started to slide straight off! Your getting a theme here...well at least "Rossco's" considerate he know how much we like variety ...after all how boring would our stool be if each of its four leg wasn't an inch shorter than the last! That and you've all seen the dog food adds... dogs like a balanced diet with plenty of variety!!! Raotfl!!!!!!!
NO THUMB WRESTLERS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THESE PICTURES.
( Just a little stretched , punctured and drooled on! )

:) :) :)

Heres the cosmic angel right now!

My gorgeous little niece Sarah after her christening last weekend ....looking this cutes so much hard work! LOL

This is also a layout I finished last weekend The strawberry patch princess. To say it was a challenge...was definately true it was an Allcraftz online shop challenge ....and QUITE A CHALLENGE for a mum of three boys ....extremely pink! I apsolutely love product challenges . It take all the hard work out of creating a layout and uses your very best lateral thinking to come up with something original especially when others have the same kit in the gallery. Even though I think I may have found myself out of my depth here with the "cut n shut" of all the rub ons, I still enjoyed the process! Not too sure I ended up liking much about the finished layout... other than the cute little girly! LOL

The challenge was:
"Using this kit ...

Create 12"x12" Layout
Criteria: You must use at-least 5 of the brads included. You can not add flowers. A portion of each of the rub-ons and papers must be visible on your layout. You must include a title including at least 5 letters.

Twist: You must mention the name of a fruit or vegetable within the title chosen. For example: "2 peas in a pod", "Peachy Keen", etc
What you can add:All monthly challenge kits may be completed with the aid of 3 additional items. Markers & ink are not included as an extra. Alphabet letters are included as ONE extra item for each alpha type used. If using Chipboard, Grungeboard, Stickers, etc please note each individual piece (aside from alphas is classed as one extra item each).

So what do you reckon.... great challenge twists and turns throughout!?

Its getting abit messy here

Well Hi!
Remember me....

Yep I've been deliciously busy with Vivian Bonders online ART JOURNAL class. I cannot thank her enough for giving me this opportunity! I feel like someone has just flicked on a light switch during a long dark night! I'm only just keeping up because I am totally loving it all!

Whenever I get a chance I find myself sneaking back out to the garage to just whip up another background paper! Cause I need more more more!!! Its so addictive!!!! LOL The shed looks little someone has just started up a crafters cottage industry in a war zone!!! I almost forgot to pick up one of my children from school last week as I was in the "zone"! (15 minute here or there?...he wont remember when hes old and grey! LOL)

I have promised hubby I'll be finished the messy bits of creating my art journal soon. I've promised to return the family vehicle into the safety of the garage Just as soon as I'm finished....yep any day now! You should have seen his face when I suggested, permanently, lining the walls, creating a huge window (that overlooks the backyard) and installing a work bench in the garden shed!!! Bugger MasterCard .....that was priceless...enter ranting!LOL (love ya honey!)

Anyway, I'm lazy tonight and there are children going way too pruney in the bath so I just want to encourage anyone reading my blog (mum? Dad, anyone?) to check VIV's blog out, go to....

No, really checkout Viv's blog and her workshops are just SUPERB!

Okay that's it for now :) I can here something drawing me to the shed LOL

I'll leave you with some pictures of my "temporary" workspace and a sample of the background pages I've made using Viv's wondrous wonderful amazing techniques!

oh and of me corrupting my youngest son!!! He was brilliant did every thing I showed him (he's 5!) and produced some pages that will surely be featured in a certain art journal that's in production! :)

HERE'S BEFORE I STARTED....

THIS ARVO AFTER A QUICK CLEAN UP!
LOL
(there has for the last two weeks been papers wet and inky covering the garage sale stock pile (lounge at the back) The floor and table tops couldn't be seen, then I pinched the clothes airers and filled them up too! Oh my goodness will I ever have so much fun again...This is better than...yep... better than that! )

SOME BEAUTIFUL SUPPLIES....

MY BEAUTIFUL SON!

WHO JUST REEKS OF TECHNIQUE!!!

(Note what we call the gentle tickle technique...
so you don't smoosh the colours together LOL!)

MY SON... A DAB HAND WITH A DAUBER!!!!

MY INKED PAGES
....

MY PAINTED PAGES....

ANOTHER INKY PAGE THAT I LURVE.... (Its going to become the canvas background for a cosmic angel OTP
of my niece! I cant cut it up! raotfl )

I COULD LIVE HERE.....
(if it wasn't for the daddy long legs that keep dancing round my ankles and the Labrador that keeps leaping the lounge to do a pawwy dance on my latest master piece! Actually, if i don't get cleaned up and some house keeping done I soon could be living out here!..Or worst still If someone sees a certain comment... "yep better than that" I made a couple paragraphs ago I maybe asking said Labrador to share his house! )

catch ya!

More interesting posts to come??? LOL

This is a little something I whipped up for a friend's friend a couple of weeks ago I really love doing these canvas cards and have done a stack of them but there's so much work in them I couldn't ask what they're worth so I don't. Mostly I cover materials (depending on whether like on this one I'm inspired to pearl bead the card and cant visualise it finished without them and blow almost the whole budget on Maria George pearls!LOL NOT!) and the investment of soul is free!!! Its a fair exchange a piece of myself expression wanders out into the world, hopefully to be admired and is returned to me in good karma which can never be bought and sold with dollars and cents! I'm not getting rich anytime soon eh?! Anywho ... It uses BASIC GREY(known from hereon in as BG) Pattered Paper (PP) The pinky purply (techno speak!) EVA RANGE! and feature a tag pocket on the inside where a whole office of people sent well wishes to the work colleague it was for! AHHHH! NOICE!

Not much going on here today, just spring cleaning all day! OMG 11 year old boys can accumulate so much tiny junky messy , lego ,lolly wrappers! ARGHHh! I took three shopping bags of broken toys and rubbish out of DS!'s room! At least that's all three's rooms cleaned and rearranged boy it feels good! The mess just crept up on me! DH even helped!

You'll never guess what I spent my whole time thinking of while I cleaned up .....personalised canvases for each boys room! DS1 Has the whole pre teen grunge/fatigue look going on in his room, and DS3 has space ships and rockets and well DS2 , there's a story there.... LOL

I got a set of sassafras robot stamps last week, they're not new, I've wanted them for ages. Purely by coincidence, I found myself oddly compelled to buy a new doona cover I saw in Target, for DS2's room. What a thrill when I realised the doona cover almost matches the robot stamps....I can so feel a themed canvas coming on! He's a soccer nut so I suggested a title something like ....There's nothing robotic about this super star sportsman except maybe he plays like a unstoppable machine!!! DS2 thought that was hilarious...so maybe a little more thought!

I'm going to be working on a new banner and a photo gallery of some description to jazz up the blog and actually start telling people it exists...that would help in getting a response! LOL
Oh the interesting blog posts ummm well...there coming up! Stay tuned... for getting messy with me and the legendary VIVIAN BONDER (what a talented lovely gal!!) as I tackle Viv's (DEVINE!) online art journal class!
