Our “7 DEADLY SINS” Challenge will commence

on April 18th, with registrations open from 14/3/09 until 10/4/09.

No late entries will be accepted.

How will this work:

7 Weekly challenges.

Each new challenge will be posted on the Saturday. You have until 8.00pm the following Saturday to load your entry to the gallery.

Voting will done via email to us, with your top 3 being nominated

You will have until midnight Monday to submit your votes. You CANNOT vote for yourself.

You must create a gallery account to participate

You cannot submit any LO for publication until the competition has been completed and the winner is announced. All work must be original and not seen before in any other gallery.

You cannot post your LO in another gallery until after the competition has finished. You can post onto your personal blog, so long as there is a link back to Wicked Princesses.

There will be NO ELIMINATIONS.
To be eligible for the prizes you must have completed ALL 7 challenges.

Thank you for the introduction, and most of all, WP, for the opportunity to share and hopefully (that is if I’m doing it properly…) create a bit of inspiration! Unlock some scrappers block here and there! LOL I can only imagine the calibre of talented enthusiastic people, that held their breath as I did, for this chance. Theres so many passionate people who enjoy our craft to pick just a handful must be a daunting job.If enthusiasm is anything to go on I must be an okay pick…. I CANNOT wait to get to know my fellow DT’s (hi gals…waving madly!) and dive right into that 7 Deadly sins comp that’s coming up! Finally, food for thought… It would appear that Smith is quite the artistic name! LOL

SOME NEWY'S & old fav's

Daniels even got me saying "thats so...random!" oooh that was random! LOL

Oh OCTOBER AFTERNOON PP AND PRIMA ...HOW I LOVE THEE ....oh and I'm pretty darn fond of my subjects here too, my dear dear Sister Suzie and my darling nephew Zak. Standby photos have been promised of the newest nephew Samuel ...I cant wait!

No idea why this decided to be upload crooked but maybe it was because it was such a free spirit kinda layout! This is Daniel I said " pose anyway you want too and I will use it" ahhh ummm OKAAAY... I do love this one though. Hand drawn wax swirls washed with rainbow watercolours a little hand beaded mirror and some hippy indian feathers. This will always be a favourite because it was so much fun!

This Canvas keepsake card was created for a friends workmate who had been on leave unwell. The pocket inside held 40 little tags each with a get well message from her collegues. NOice!

Those of you who know me well are going oh no not the "PEAR" shaped light bulbs again....I hated the paper I had to use for this challenge but I found a way to love it! I came up with this idea to papermache/decopague tiny little torn up bits of it onto the light bulbs, then mod podged over it. Throw on a couple gems volia... I ADORE these they sit to this day in my buffet cabinet and take note: in these troubled times....

We must think of the enviroment... recycle, re-use, renew people!!!!

Connor my second born we realised actually looks like I did when I was his age as apposed to the other two boys ...I quote "geez ya didnt get a look in there" You have no idea how many times people have said that to me about my eldest and youngest! But isnt this pic so cute!

RECENT WORK

Its come to my attention that some of my recent work has been getting "lost" amongst my idle chit chat so here's a newy and a bit of a recap (LOL)....

BLAST OFF!!!

The rocket ship is on a slide mechanism that goes up to revel The blast off stamp and hidden journaling that gives the who and when details. Don't you LURVE the robot and rocket ship stamps!!! It was INQUE BOUTIQUE "OUT OF THIS WORLD " kit it came complete with Stamps. This month they have a kit on sale " Jungle Boogie" kit its got all these gorgeous zoo animals in it ...I can visualise the page in my head already!!! I digress....

I must say as happy as I am with the cute little rocket ship slide I don't think I'll be attempting it on short notice again. I think I said a couple choice words as I worked it out....oh I meant I said "Houston we have a problem" a couple of times! LOL

I got my update from Aussie Scrapbooking on Friday that mentioned a Design team submission at WICKED PRINCESS (see link) closing on the Sunday the 15th so I hopped to it. I used a kit I'd had from the store I'd been busting to play with so if nothing else comes of it...mission accomplished. ( I really hope it does though cause I love the website and concept...& I love playing with kits!!!)

Keep you eyes out for the matching card that was the practice prototype! LOL

"BOX O' LOVE"

This is my "BOX O' LOVE" Created using the Karen Foster Advent 3D calender. I love this one it really reflects where I am atm, the style I lean towards, and was made for DH. It sits on his desk at work and each day he opens a draw (more than one depending on what sort of a day he's having!) and inside is a note from either me or one of the kids telling him why and how much we love him...oh and lets not forget there's the added bonus of a Darryl Lee chocolate heart in each one! ( that reminds me....I must visit DH at work more often!) When he gets through them we will write more notes and re fill it for him!

I thought it may help my frustration to occasionally share what I wish I could own!!!

I hoard bags of scrap leather, I am sure you will see me have a crack at making these not obviously as lovely as the bought ones but the tactile nature of these, they would something I would create myself...can u tell I LURVE THEM YET...HUH?

BEING A REBEL ...AGAIN!

Little non conformist me...purple , red and yellow... embroidery thread, florist wire and acetate! I felt the need to create this one, I'd been trying to do what the trendy gals do ...when I started out this was to be my attempt a a minimalist layout. You know the ones that popular atm photo, mat and small cluster of embellishments in the centre of the page! (snort!) I didn't make much of an attempt PMSL. I am proud of this layout and my gorgeous little niece, who laughs, & dances, (@8 months of age!) her way into the heart of everyone she meets!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNOR

Connor celebrated his 8th birthday on Saturday! So I made him a Wee cake...oops! LOL I mean Wii cake (excuse the pun but it was way too easy!) He had his best mate stay over went out for tea and Camped out in the backyard in the tent! Seems like yesterday, that they placed him on my chest just 30 seconds old and he cracked one cheeky little eye open and our gaze met and I fell in love!

OMG! SO DELISH I HAD TO SHARE!

This is one for the scrapbookers ( so mum you dont need to read this one ...just look at the pictures! LOL) I have been checking out a new brand of PP called GCD Studios. Oh its got me all a fluster!!! I love it so I thought I'd better share...

Only one problem I'm going to have to get more than one of each one to frame

and one to chop up! er um... I mean one to "create" with!!! LOL
