POINTS OF INTEREST:

The German scrap border seen here is heat embossed using silver embossing powder and a Versamark watermark ink pad.  German Scrap is an embossed paper border. A favourite product amongst card makers it can also be used on scrapbook layouts, Artist Trading Cards canvas art and any off the page projects. Along with heat embossing powders it can be enhanced with acrylic paints or metallic rub-ons.

I also pierced holes through the German Scrap pattern to loop wire through to give the effect that the scrapware banner was hanging from the "wrought iron" looking German scrap border.
The Scrapware was painted black then given a coat of Dimensional Magic. PLAID Dimensional Magic is one of my absolute favourite "must have" products. It goes on in a thick gooey layer, When it dries it drys hard and gives height and a glossy finish  to whatever you have applied it to. I use it on lettering, chipboard shapes, to accent patterns on papers or to seal in paints and finishes.

Here I have used CUTTLEBUG embossing texture folders to add the
pattern into metal shim to create the "mat" under the photo.

The details on the German Scrap shrine can be seen here highlighted and picked up by a light rubbing of JW wax finish which I have also used over the Prima stamps in the bottom left hand and top left hand corners.

The "Brick castle wall" effect was created using a "resist" method. Starting with a white background paper,
I stamped the pattern onto the paper with a versamark watermark ink pad. Then I sprinkle some clear  embossing powder on top then heat it the resulting image with a heat gun. On this layout I sprayed with Glimmer mists and rubbed waxes over the background paper and where the embossed stamp is it "resists the the coloured mists and waxes leaving the pattern to show through the white background background.

Hopefully,  theres some info there
that's inspired you to play...

Remember the is no right or wrong in scrapbooking just... an embellishment
you come up with quickly you may never have thought of!!! LOL
